    San Antonio, surrounding counties, among fastest-growing in U.S. in 2014

    home for saleThe San Antonio metropolitan area is comprised of several counties that were among the fastest-growing, by percentage growth, in the United States in 2014, according to new data released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

    Comal County, part of the San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan area and home to New Braunfels, was the sixth-fastest growing county in the country with a 4.4 percent growth rate. Guadalupe County, another county in the San Antonio metropolitan area, was the 29th fastest-growing county in the country with a 2.84 percent growth rate. Bexar County, where San Antonio is located, was the 88th fastest-growing county in the country with a 2.1 percent growth rate.
